Infineon Launches 7th Generation Discrete 650V TRENCHSTOP IGBTs H7 New Product for High Energy Efficiency Power Applications


Infineon Technology Co., Ltd. (FSE code: IFX/OTCQX: IFNNY) has launched a new discrete 650V IGBT7 H7 product, further expanding its seventh generation TRENCHSTOP ™ IGBT product series. This new device is equipped with advanced EC7 co packaged diodes and transmitter control design, combined with high-speed technology to meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly and efficient power supply solutions. TRENCHSTOP IGBT7 H7 adopts the latest micro groove gate technology, with excellent control and performance, which can significantly reduce losses, improve efficiency and power density. Therefore, this semiconductor device is suitable for various application scenarios, such as string inverters, energy storage systems (ESS), electric vehicle charging applications, and traditional applications such as industrial UPS and welding.


In a split packaging, the 650 V TRENCHSTOP IGBT7 H7 can output up to 150A of current. This product series has a current rating of 40A to 150A and has four different packaging types: TO-247-3 HCC, TO-247-4, TO-247-3 Plus, and TO-247-4 Plus. The TO-247-3 HCC package of TRENCHSTOP IGBT7 H7 has a high creepage distance. The 4-pin package of TO-247 (standard package: IKZA, Plus package: IKY) performs outstandingly in improving performance, as it not only reduces switching losses, but also provides additional advantages such as lower voltage overshoot, minimum conduction loss, and lowest reverse recovery loss. With these features, TRENCHSTOP IGBT7 H7 simplifies the design and minimizes the need for parallel devices.


In addition, the 650 V TRENCHSTOP IGBT7 H7 has excellent moisture resistance and can operate reliably in harsh environments. This device has passed the relevant tests of JEDEC 47/20/22, especially HV-H3TRB, and meets industrial application standards, making it very suitable for outdoor applications.
